ELTE Welcomes Jiaxing University Delegation to Strengthen Academic Cooperation

The delegation was received by Prof. Imre Hamar PhD., Rector’s Commissioner for Asian Relations and Head of the East Asian Institute, Ms Anna Csikó, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute at ELTE, and Ms Eszter Knyihár, PhD, Head of the International Strategy Office.

The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the strong mutual commitment to deepening academic and institutional ties. Discussions focused on further developing cooperation in the areas of student mobility, academic exchange and programme development.

Special attention was given to the successful participation of Jiaxing University students in ELTE’s Budapest Summer University programmes, where they have shown high levels of engagement and satisfaction with the academic quality and the wide range of cultural and community activities offered by ELTE.

Before the meeting, the delegation visited the ELTE University Library and Archives, where they were welcomed for a guided tour providing insight into the Library’s historic collections.

The parties also discussed Jiaxing University’s Visiting Scholar Programme and its Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions, identifying these as promising platforms for expanding staff mobility and joint academic initiatives in the future.
